In a peaceful village nestled in the mountains, there lived a wise old Zen master named Kaido. People from the village often went to him for advice, believing he held the secrets to a meaningful life. One day, a young woman named Mik decided to visit him, seeking the path to true fulfillment.

“Master Kaido,” Mik said as she bowed respectfully, “I want to live a life that has meaning. Can you teach me how to do that?”

Kaido smiled kindly at her and gestured for Mik to sit down with him under a large cherry blossom tree.

1. Find Your Purpose

“To live a meaningful life,” he began, “you must pass through three important stages. The first stage is to find your purpose. Your purpose is the reason you are here and what you are meant to offer to the world.”

Kaido handed Mik a small seed.
“Take this seed, plant it, and take care of it. Watch how it grows into a beautiful tree. Just like this seed, you have your own unique potential. Spend time thinking about what you love to do and what makes you feel alive. What do you care about deeply?”
